The NextEra Verizon Wireless 2013 NFL Mock Draft 11.0

The team at NextEra in association with Verizon Wireless have organised the draft order based on NextEra’s Power Rankings.

We have many changes in the 11th edition of the NextEra Mock Draft. The first pick has stayed the same, but the team picking has changed.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars : AJ McCarron, QB, Alabama

I know still McCarron at #1, didn’t he just lose? There is just something about this kid, down by 12 against a phenomenal talent in Johnnie Manziel, McCarron very nearly pulled off the win again after driving to beat LSU the week prior. With 8 minutes to go he drove Bama 94 yards for a quick touchdown, getting the ball back again with 4 minutes to go he drives them to the 1 yard line again, but unfortunately threw the interception. In fairness the interception wasn’t his fault, the play was designed for him to get the ball out quick, and let the receiver make a play, which obviously he didn’t. He is a winner end of story and i would liken him to one person just based on their college performances, that is Tom Brady. Call me crazy but see a lot of the same things, not great physically yet, wins games late with a good team and the obvious great intangibles and the love to win games. I can see this guy being very special at the NFL level. Jacksonville should take him in a heartbeat, they need a winner so so badly and McCarron is certainly that.
